MAX MCGEE'S PROFILE
I CAN'T NOT MAKE GAMES.
I have enough lockerspace to hold an episode of Friends.
"We'll make a toast to absent friends and better days,
To remembering and being remembered as brave
And not as a bunch of whining jerks!
Don't lose your nerve.
Do not go straight
You must testify
(or I'm going to come to your house and punch you in the mouth)
cause CLOWNS MUST STAND."

# When I wrote, a blur, I meant you could still tell those were trees.
Suddenly, I felt a great lurch. Everything but the gate turned to a blur, making the forest seem like a splash of colors.

Thank you for playing and giving feedback!
Your build is fucking win. Azure will be leveled up and used as an enemy in Act III.
I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean the Zombie "leveling up" to Level 2 after each match, I'm not sure how to fix that. Summons are static; he doesn't really Level Up at all, actually. Each time he is added to your party, he is reset (Initialized) to Level 1. I've turned his XP to level up as high as it will go, but he still (falsely) "Levels Up" after the later fights, even though it means nothing. I'm not sure how to disable the Level Up message for just him. Any ideas from anyone?
Hold shift to run in RMVX! I'll include this pro-tip in the help file when I make the full release.
Interaction with Prynne and Alex changes within Act I, everyone's dialogue changes so they all have something new to say in Act II (those who haven't dissapeared) and you can save at any time just by opening your main menu. So I don't know where you're coming from with some of these complaints.
While I don't believe in alignments in the D&D sense (MORALITY IS NOT THAT SIMPLE YOU GUYS), and I don't promise a KOTOR/Mass Effect style morality system or truly branching gameplay based on each and every one of your choices, I will say that your choice to be merciful or merciless in Act I will DEFINITELY effect the ending you get. There are 2.5 endings, kind of like Act I had 2.5 endings.
Well obviously, you didn't die, you were just knocked out. If you had died, you would have gotten a game over screen. : )

* After the Zombie reached Level 2, it kept repeating the same announcement after every match.

* The holding cell is boring. No one has anything new to say to you after each battle, and going from the commander to the healing spot and back is a chore. It would be much more effective as a pictured menu. You'd get faster access to saving, too, which is convenient. Or, I might feel more accustomed to it if my damn character were to move faster...

* Speaking of which, I sure hope there's a more meaningful point to the "choose your alignment" thing you've got going there. You know, besides interesting cutscenes. I mean, it was amusing to select a "hostile response" for anything anyone had to say, but if that's all there is to it...

* I died during the handicap match, so what people starting saying afterwards felt pretty silly.

Last game you purchased?
semi-related:
Does anyone have a copy of Vagrant Story (for PSX/psONE) they're willing to sell (cheapish)? I've lost mine, and that game has become really difficult to find in the retail arena.

Naming your characters
It could have been worse, though. One character my friend came up with was a vampire-looking guy (a la Vincent Valentine) whose name was Vamp (no, I'm not kidding). All I could do was give him the "Are you serious?" look.
Your friend is HIDEO KOJIMA? Can he get me a job? ;)

Bonds of Friendship?
Th ;De next person I met was WIP, who stayed with me in New Jersey for about a week. It was a pretty awkward time; I had only admitted to my wife that I was nerdy enough to have online friends the week before when asking for permission for him to stay. It just so happens my brother (mine) and my sister-in-law (my wife's sister) were visiting also. WIP and I destroyed my brother emotionally and intellectually on the way home, mocking him for pronouncing Suikoden IV "Suikoden Eye Vee". He later threatened to kill WIP. My sister-in-law refused to go inside for about an hour when WIP arrived, fearing he was a "knife-killer". WIP would also later visit me when I lived in New Orleans, in which time the mormon landed in time to seee a gay pride parade in downtown N'awlins.
This made me laugh so hard, because I am happy that WIP acts exactly the same in life as online. Also, that someone else threatens to kill him. That guy collects death threats like some people collect coins. Which is ironic, because it is HE that is the KNIFE KILLER.
Speaking of which, I think more than I have close friends from online, there are people I have "met" on GW (no one here) who I would kill or at least maim if I got the opportunity and could get away with it. Kind of like I, too, probably threatened to kill WIP once, at some point. Who hasn't!? ;D
Anyway, I had some close friends online in this community before, under my other name, but way more enemies. Unrelatedly, when I was about in 9th grade, I sort of ruined my life over an online girlfriend for the next two years, so that made me wary of getting too attached to online people. Especially people from RPG Making community, since they can tend to be fickle, insensitive, and mean and I can tend to be a very wet-eyed, big-hearted sensitive
My closest thing to a close, personal friend (talking about real life stuff) from the community was probably RowenFM1; yes, I realized a long time ago that he is a joke of a game designer, but I kept talking to him anyway, even after I left the community. However, his real life became such a mess that it was literally impossible to speak to him any more.
Actually, Clest was a really awesome person too and we were as close as the 1/5th of a language barrier (he had 80% mastered English) would allow. I wonder what that brilliant Brazillian bastard is up to now.
When I came to this site under a new name some people I'd fought with in the past remarked that they liked me and some of those close friends I mentioned from before have been butting heads with me, since neither of them know my old handle. It's just interesting because, well, not the kind of phenomenon you'd have without the internets.
In short: there is nothing inherently wronging with making interweb acquaintances real life friends, it is just an innately difficult proposition. And I think it's really beautiful what those old fags in #rm2gay have together even after all these years. ;D
